I had two goals... dead lift twice my body weight - accomplished
and 100 unbroken double unders... still working on that one.

I would like to reach a 700-800lb. lift combination,
compete in this years masters division CrossFit Comp.
and yes reach that double under goal.

I wish everyone a safe, exciting and AWESOME New Years Eve Celebration!!!

Vil
1/2/2013 07:48:22 am

My 2012 goals were to get a unassisted kipping pull up, a strict dip, HSPUs and consistent double unders and I managed to get all those down!

For this year I would like to get a strict pull up, a ring dip, get my mile time under 8 minutes and compete in the open.

Happy New Year everyone!

Brooke
1/2/2013 08:57:25 am

My goal is to be consistent and go to Crossfit at least 3X a week - every week. It'd also be stellar if I could get double unders and/or a pull-up one day.

Started crossfit in 2012, goal for 2013 be able to do strict pull-ups with no band

IV
1/2/2013 09:50:34 am

In 2013 I would like to get my double under situation figured out, do 10 unbroken pull ups, do a handstand pushup and snatch consistently without falling over. Also, eat better.... Frozen dates and broccoli are not an acceptable dinner meal.

Louise
1/2/2013 09:51:08 am

I would like to lose 20 pounds and improve my strength and fitness.

Todd
1/2/2013 10:05:12 am

10 unbroken unassisted pull-ups, no injuries and better control of my food intake. And a 42" box jump PR.

Rachel K

Adam
1/2/2013 10:10:47 am

Lyse
1/2/2013 10:36:07 am

In 2012 I reached all of my goals except one: a HSPU.

So 2013: HSPU, work on my strength, and get faster / better at running.

Bobby
1/2/2013 10:52:01 am

Better at hspu. 175 squat

denise
1/2/2013 11:07:43 am

My goal this year: Get back on track with power lifting while still being cautious of my busted knee.
Also: 1 unassisted pull up, just one. 135 bench, be fast and lean out a little more.

Christopher A
1/2/2013 11:10:14 am

My last minute 2012 goal was to get into Crossfit before the new year. 2013 is to run a mile in under 7 minutes and bang out 15 hand stand pushups. A good kipping pull up would be nice also.

Polly
1/2/2013 12:25:27 pm

I want to be able to do a pullup without a band and attend classes consistently!

Chris D
1/2/2013 12:28:46 pm

I want to be able to do 50 double unders in a row and attend at least 4 classes a week.

Tess
1/2/2013 01:12:59 pm

10 unbroken double-unders!

Jennifer Buras Noveh
1/2/2013 01:13:28 pm

For 2012, I lost 30lbs and went down 6 sizes! Geaux me! For 2013- I want to lose 10-15 more pounds, be able to do 10 unassisted strict pull-ups, and finally do doubleunders right!!!

Roger
1/2/2013 01:32:56 pm

My goal for the next three months is to be able to do 15 unbroken double under..
2013: Get stronger shoulders, HSPU ...

Renee
1/13/2013 09:20:18 am

Go roger!

danarchism
1/2/2013 02:07:04 pm

I want a muscle up.

Not so much goals but also wants. I want to do more workouts with weirder equipment. Sledge hammers, sand bags, heavy ropes, atlas stones, tire flips, heavy kettle bell, etc... Liz, can we play with weirder toys in powerlifting?

this seems cooler than double unders: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcJ0Em4mmGs

Jeremy
1/2/2013 02:13:36 pm

healthy shoulders!
consistent butterfly pull ups
body-weight snatch
flat-back when deadlifting heavy
learn to run with pose technique
finish within the top 250 in the region for the open.

mp
1/13/2013 09:26:09 am

Jeremy, I like that I've already seen you do a skill session on butterfly pullups and have seen you signed up for run club! Boo on the rain...On your way to your goals!

Eric F.
1/2/2013 05:42:52 pm

I'd like to string together enough double-unders to actually be able to do them in a WOD. I also want to improve my squat to 250, since my current max squat is still far less than my max bench. (As I wrote that, Rae Shih materialized from the ether, Obi-Wan-Kenobi style, and scowled). I'd like to get a muscle-up without using a false grip. And, finally, I want to learn to stop being so darn punctual. My habit of showing up at least 20 minutes early to every WOD is just too disruptive! I'm confident that Brandon supports that last goal.

Vil
1/3/2013 09:25:21 am

hahaha I love this

Husted
1/2/2013 07:01:23 pm

6:30 mile.

Jen
1/2/2013 08:59:14 pm

Pull ups without a band. Rope climb. 20 double unders in a row. 1st place Athena San Destin Tri 2013

Ashley M
1/2/2013 09:58:57 pm

I am still working on those darn double unders! Also, toes to bar would be nice.

My big goal is to get on track more consistently in the food dept.

Yvonne
1/2/2013 10:08:17 pm

My goal this month is to complete the Whole 30 challenge. My overall goal is to conquer box jumps, do unassisted kipping pull-ups, Rx every week, and do double-unders if the WOD requires it vs singles.

Amy R
1/2/2013 10:35:16 pm

I would like to get an unassisted kipping pullup and ten double unders in a row. I joined this year so I didn't have any specific goals to accomplish other then to get back into working out.

THJC
1/2/2013 10:46:01 pm

compete in the open. get a muscle up. go 90% paleo. be a better husband. kiss smoking goodbye (just ordered the patch from 1800QUITNOW. They are free for 4 weeks!).

Hank
1/2/2013 10:48:50 pm

For 2013, I would like to do pullups without a band, get better at double unders and do more pushups than I'm currently able to. Oh, I would also like to consistently attend at least 3 classes a week. The holidays, local festivals and upcoming Mardi Gras are hindering my ability to attend classes regularly.

Caroline
1/2/2013 10:50:12 pm

Clean up my diet. Do more workouts Rx. Learn kipping pullups and also to be able to do multiple strict pullups in a row without bands. I did accomplish my goal this year of building strength to do 1 strict unbanded pullup at a time, which I've never been able to do before in my life! Also, more double unders in a row would be nice so I could get faster at them in workouts.

Tripp

Brendt M.
1/14/2013 04:07:37 am

2012- I got an unassisted banded pullup, I got 25 du, I have changed my breakfast and lunch routine for the better, a big fail for mobility 3x a week at home... Need to commit to this for 2013- especially on days after wods. For 2013, I would like to get an unassisted strict pullup, Goat work snatch for form (less arms more legs), and in general... It would be awesome if I could maintain crossfittig 3x a week, especially if any major life changes should occur.

Brendt
1/14/2013 05:33:48 am

I meant unassisted kipping pullup-- not sure what an unassisted Banded pullup would look like!

2012: HSPU, a muscle up, 95lb snatch (just retested at 100lb!), get at least 10 consecutive pull-ups consistently (got up to 32+ consecutive), compete at the Rx level in the Deep South Shootout, work on overall oly technique, handstand walk 20ft w/o dropping to feet, 50+ consecutive DU (got 63)

2013: strict HSPU, more than one muscle up (regaining strength in wrists/grip), run 3-4 times weekly (3.5-9 miles per run), OH squat > 115lb, work on push-ups intensively, try every one of the "girls", compete in the Open, and really perfect my diet (taking what I've learned from experiments over the last 5 months)

My goals are to crush 5 hrs at the NOLA half IM April 21st and break 1:30 in the Rock N Roll Half marathon. Other than that, I would love to crank out 15 kipping pull ups in a row and maybe perform 20 consistent DU. And most importantly I hope restore balance in my workouts by doing CrossFit 1-2x weekly in addition to tri triaining.

Wanted to do an overhead squat by 2013, but I'm nowhere close. I went through tons of mobility training, nightly stretching, physical therapy, started weekly massage, and had a personal trainer for mobility. Got closer, but not close.

This year I will do a targeted, separate mobility workout for or more times a week and take up yoga, start seeing a Rolphing specialist, and keep up neuromuscular massage sessions, again in pursuit of being able to do a squat with proper form. I hope for the squat, but I will do the rest.

My 2012 goal was to eat more of a Paleo-lifestyle and I did do much better with my diet as the year progressed. I would love to Deadlift over 150 lbs. I was successful already in 2013 to move up from a 12 kg KB to 16 kg (one of my goals). 3 successive DU would be close to miraculous.

2013- Muscle ups and double unders

James W.
1/16/2013 04:05:45 am

In 2012, I'd like to conquer straight-leg Double- Unders-- i.e.- I want to stop jumping so high and bending my knees while doing them. I want to be more efficient in doing large numbers of them. I want to be able to do 5 Muscle-Ups in a row. And, I want to fall in love with Snatches-- maybe be able to snatch 135lbs.

James W.

Correction: These are my goals for 2013. I'm not living the past, just a typo.

2. 225 Clean and Jerk

I started cross fit in 2012 with no goal other than to try the workout out of which my son, Bruno, seemed to get so much. I am more flexible and stronger as a result. This year I'd like to master hand stand push ups and avoid injury. As one of the older members at CFNOLA, injury prevention, both in the gym and out is critical.

Rohit

1) hand stand walks
2) 225 squat clean
3) 185 squat snatch
