When I joined Crossfit Nola over 2 years ago, I was overweight, unfit and made poor eating choices. Participating in my first Whole Life Challenge a few months later helped me turn things around.
The WLC is about forming healthy habits for life. It's not just about nutrition and exercise; it incorporates other lifestyle factors, such as drinking enough water and getting plenty of sleep. These lifestyle challenges allowed me to focus on one habit at a time, helping it become part of my life.
For me, nutrition was what I needed to focus on the most and before WLC, I wasn't making the gains in crossfit that I feel I am now achieving.
It's definitely been a learning process for me and I still have to work very hard to stay on point. However, the WLC also teaches you that you don't need to be perfect to achieve results.
Now I sign up for the WLC every time it comes around. I enjoy being part of the community. I like signing in each day and reflecting on my previous day and it's great going onto the WLC forums and picking up tips from other people and sharing experiences. Overall, I feel it's made a big difference in my life!!!
