How did you hear about CrossFit and what was your first experience/WOD?
I first heard of CrossFit from a friend who got into it while living in Madrid. My first WOD was the free intro class with Jeff and I felt like passing out and throwing up when I finished. This is when I realized how truly out of shape I was.
When did you first come to CrossFit NOLA?
I first came into Crossfit NOLA on a Saturday for the free intro class and there was powerlifting going on at the same time. I was doing the WOD and all I could hear was Rae yelling at the powerlifting class on the background.
What CrossFit accomplishment are you the most proud of?
I am proud of everything I’ve accomplished so far but if I had to pick one thing is HSPU. I feel that with every WOD I get better at something and this is thanks to the great coaches and fellow crossfitters that I get to work out with.
If there was any CrossFit movement that you could choose to never do again, what would it be?
The one movement that I would never do again is Thrusters. A 2013 goal is to learn to like thrusters.
After a hard workout, what is your favorite meal?
Depends on the day. Usually some chocolate Progenex with almond butter and banana and on Fridays some Company Burger.
On a Saturday night, where could we typically find you?
I work and I’m getting my MBA so on Saturday night I’m usually doing homework or catching up on some reading.
What is one goal that you are currently working on that you will accomplish before the end of 2012?
2013 goals are muscle ups, string DUs so I can do them in WODs, butterfly pullups, and learning to like thrusters.
